Okay I did a video today because my hands are not obeying me and so I can’t type much and I wanted to communicate with you all.

Sorry this one is not for fun. I remind you, because I didn’t mention it in the video, something that makes me different is MASSIVE poly-pharm. I was on 6 drugs at much higher than usual doses for many years.

Aww! Wish I could say something practical. I’ll have a go! Everyone has naff days, whether they’re sick or not. It’s just that for you, and for many of your readers, those naff days are the result of debilitating drug damage. In a large part, that’s what draws people to your blog, though. We come to Share Experiences, and for Understanding ,Mutual Support and Solidarity.

It will get better. It has to! Life’s not allowed to do anything else but get better!

my heart goes out to you. and those suffering in the same way you are. yes, the journey will be long but I hope (more than anything) that someday your body and mind will be free of the toxins and somehow you’ll find yourself in a place of peace… free of pain, debilitation, etc..

your message is a strong one and I count myself as fortunate that I was never on high doses of medications each go-around. but if you can save one person from going through what you are experiencing…. that, my friend, is a beautiful thing. all my love to you and hope you are feeling better soon.

When you mentioned neurons, it reminded me of an article from TIME magazine, May 2008.

Memory: Forgetting Is the New Normal

Something else is going on as we get older that also impairs memory: our brains are making fewer neurons. Until a decade ago, the common assumption was that we were born with a fixed number of brain cells that die off as we age, making us, well, dimmer. That, however, is not the case. It is now known that the brain continues to produce neurons throughout the life cycle, but only in two places: the olfactory bulb and the hippocampus. And not just anywhere in the hippocampus but in the dentate gyrus, the very node that Small has identified as the site of impairment in normal memory loss. So why should memory fade at all? The answer may come from the gym.

A decade ago, when neuroscientist Fred Gage of the Salk Institute made the discovery that the adult brain continues to regenerate, the brains in question belonged to mice. Some of the mice had been sedentary, others had been exercising, and the ones that logged the most miles on their wheels produced many more new neurons than did the sedentary ones.

Now it turns out that the same appears to be true for humans.

How do I say this right….. I think and hope that you feel validated by what your author friend told you. It’s not bleak when someone confirms how you must feel. Always remember however that you must have total faith that you can recover. You can. You can. You can. We have become good friends Gianni and I want to see you try. I love you. :)

I feel the same way as Roman does – the confirmation you have received is astounding, and the people you are helping and saving from going through what you are is also astounding. And this is the biggie – have that faith that you can recover. We are all believing that for you. We all want that for you. Remember – you’re an overcomer in every way!

I’m sorry you are feeling so crappy… [[virtual hugs]]
I just got home from work & took a HARD 2-hr nap, which I suppose my body needed, but I always worry when one of those symptoms “sleeping too much” pops up.
I also hope & pray that you will get that ADL I see you looked into soon.
